This is an antique sword of Qing Dynasty. It was manually forged with sanmei-layering construction of a hard steel(high carbon sandwiched by checks of mild steel. The mist texture interlocked grais and flow lines are results careful qucnching and thermal treatment. The tip of the blade is in its original sharp, and only received mild polishing ehmancement. Seven golden starts, a symbol for traditional fashion of Chinese swords, mark the blade at well-defined intervals throughout the blade.

The fittings are alll original. The handle and scabbard were made by hands from old mahogany and engraved with rich sculpture which gives the sword an aesthetic appearance. All polishing were done manually with various grades of abrasives including grindstones, sandpaper and fine polishing powder.
