This well forged sword-jian has a thin and flexible blade, designed
for quick thrusting and swift witling. The blade is made of steel
and constructed in a layering or sandwich fashion-sanmei. Highly
crafted polishing illustrates the beauty of this steel with all of
its markings.
The handle and scabbard were made by hands from ancient mahogany and engraved with rich sculpture which gives the sword an aesthetic appearance. |
